We are home to an incredibly rare and healthy mixed mesic forest which hosts some of the largest individuals of native Hawaiian trees. Our critically endangered Loulu Palm is one of the rarest tree species in the world and the tallest native palm! Our forest is dominated by old growth ‘Ohi‘a trees that bloom with the lovely Lehua blossoms loved by bees. Our bees are very happy as there is always something blooming for them to make this unique and “magical” honey!
